High Protein ‘Zoats’

These High Protein ‘Zoats’ are a twist on the breakfast classic porridge. Made with oats, grated courgette and our Free Range Liquid Egg White they make the perfect filling breakfast or craving busting snack. Queen of the ‘Zoats’ @jesssriv showed us how she makes her beautiful bowl of morning bliss!


50g oats
1/2 grated courgette
1tsp coconut oil
1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
1/4 cup Two Chicks liquid egg whites
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp raw cacao powder
1 scoop of protein powder of choice

Optional extras:
1/2 tsp spirulina and/or 1/2 tsp wheatgrass powder

Ideas for toppings:
Berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries or strawberries)
Nut butter (peanut, almond or cashew are my favourites)
Dried goji berries or dried mulberries
Desiccated coconut
Dark chocolate

1. Place oats, courgette, coconut oil and milk in a pan and bring to the boil.
2. Once boiling, cover and reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes but continue to stir during this time to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
3. Take off the heat and pour in the egg whites, stirring vigorously to ensure the egg whites don’t scramble.
4. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan (including the greens if using)
5. Thoroughly mix together, pour into a bowl and add desired toppings!
