Q. What happens to the yolks?

Rest assured they are never wasted. We use them to produce other products, like mayonnaise and ice cream.

Q. What are the benefits of egg white?

Egg white is fat and cholesterol free, low carb, low GI and is an excellent source of protein – the perfect health food. It is little wonder that celebrities and sports personalities use it to stay in shape.

Prior to the launch of Two Chicks, liquid egg white was never widely available unless you went through the hassle of splitting whole eggs yourself.

Q. Can you freeze Two Chicks Egg White

Yes you can.

The product can be frozen on the day of purchase for up to two years.

It should be defrosted in the refrigerator and used within 24 hours.

However, bear in mind that freezing may reduce the whisking property.


Q. Can you whisk Two Chicks Liquid Egg White?

Yes, however, bear in mind that freezing your Two Chicks liquid egg white will reduce the whisking properties of the egg white.

Remember that the most important factor in whisking egg white is actually the air. As you whisk the egg you introduce air which can increase the volume up to 8 times. Also, it is important to make sure that your whisking bowl and whisk are grease free.

Q. What’s the shelf life of Two Chicks Liquid Egg White?

Two Chicks liquid egg white has a shelf life of around four weeks from purchase (can be frozen for up to two years) and keeps for seven days after opening, meaning you never have to waste time separating eggs again.

Q. Are Two Chicks products always made from free range eggs?

Yes, at Two Chicks we strongly believe in the welfare of our hens, that’s why they are free to roam, as you can see here.

Q. What’s wrong with egg yolk?

The yolk contains all the fat and cholesterol in the egg, whereas the white has none. So if reducing these things is your objective then consuming just the white is a better choice.

Q. It is safe to drink Two Chicks Liquid Egg White directly from the carton?

Yes, it’s totally safe to drink it from the carton as it has been pasteurised.

Q. Are your products safe for a pregnant women?

Yes, all our products are pasteurised and safe for pregnant women consumption since the pasteurisation process kills all the bacteria.

Q. How are Chirps made?

Chirps are baked and never fried.

Q. Should I bring Two Chicks Liquid Egg White to room temperature before I use it?

If a recipe for meringues states that eggs should be at room temperature than you may allow the egg white to get to this temperature. We have also found that it is totally fine to use straight out of the fridge.

Q. Don’t Crisps need to be high in fat and carbs to taste good? How are Chirps different?

On average, Chirps have around half the fat and carbs of leading crisps, but all the flavour and four times the protein which helps to keep your blood sugar stable. We’ve found a way to make them delicious while also being healthy. They are also different from all the other crisps on the market as they are high in protein.

Q. What kind of oil do you use?

We use rapeseed oil when we season Chirps. Rapeseed oil is a healthy choice as it has less saturated fat than all the other cooking oils and fats and is high in beneficial monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats omega 3, 6 and 9 which help to prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, brain dysfunction, asthma, arthritis and improve vitamin absorption.

Q. Are any of your ingredients genetically modified?

No. Chirps are a non GMO product.

Q. Are Chirps gluten-free?

Chirps themselves are gluten-free. However, the facility that makes them also produces non gluten-free products, so Chirps may contain traces of gluten.

Q. Are Chirps nuts and dairy free?

Other than the Sour Cream and Onion flavour, which contain dairy, Chirps do not contain dairy or nuts. However, they are produced in a facility that also processes nuts and dairy, so they may contain traces of those ingredients.

Q. Are Chirps suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, all our Chirps are vegetarian.
